Dan Fick
Class of 2010
Dan Fick, a 2010 graduate of Forest Lake Area High School, is currently attending Harvard University on a full-ride Division I hockey scholarship.
Dan was an outstanding student-athlete at Forest Lake, graduating near the top of his class, and earned the Outstanding Science Student award in his senior year. He was also a member of the National Honor Society.
A four-year varsity letterman on the Forest Lake hockey team, Dan also earned three varsity letters in baseball. His 2010 hockey team, of which he was a co-captain, won the Suburban East Conference championship and finished the season with the best record in Forest Lake history.
That year, Dan was named the the Suburban East Conference's Best Defenseman in addition to being named to his second straight all-conference team and making the honorable mention list on the Minnesota All-State team.
The youngest of John and Teri Fick's three children, Dan is currently taking a pre-med curriculum at Harvard with the hope of becoming a doctor. His brothers, Ben and Tom, were also both outstanding student-athletes at Forest Lake Area High School.
Ben was a two-time individual state champion in Nordic skiiing and currently is a senior at the University of Utah with hopes of someday making the U.S. Olympic Nordic Skiing team. Tom Fick currently attends the U.S. Naval Academy and plays hockey on the Navy team.
