Professional Development Days

  • Mentees are provided with two days of release time for professional development when funding permits.  Upon prior approval for funding, this time may be used for teacher observations, planning sessions, attendance at workshops offered outside of the district, or other activities relevant to the mentee's individual needs.
  • Classroom mentors are provided with one day of release time.  This time may be used to facilitate mentoring activities with the new teacher.  A Paired Professional Development Form (available in the mentor booklet) is required for prior approval.  The form is to be submitted to Kathy Briguet at the CLC.
